iron or red dot
Is there any advantage of the iron sight over the red dot? I know when you use a silencer you use the iron sight for that but the advantage is that the recoil is less. Why would anyone prefer the iron over the red dot and no silencer when they have a choice?

Red dot slightly reduces weapon damage (or so I've heard)

The red dot reduces damage on the AK-47, but not enough to make much of a difference. The AK-47's sites are so good that you might as well use it naked or with silencer however.

You would prefer the iron sights with the RPD + grip.

Some weapons have excellent ironsights (G3, MP5, AK, RPD and such) so i always put on something other than a red dot on these. However most other weapons have horrible ironsights (like the M14 and M60), in that case i'll either give up and put on the dot or fire from the hip

Other than guns like AK or RPD that have really good iron sights, I just use the Red dot scope. It helps me aim better.
