From memory, a high blast shot, or continuous shooting knocks the shield bearer on his ass, revealing a few seconds of vulnerability.

The Riot shield should have some bullet penetration for snipers, shotgun shells, and machine gun bullets.

Then it would be useless as a shield, wouldn't it?

Those types of bullets will knock the shield-bearer on his ass, allowing you to shoot him.

Pretty sure that it will be able to take a few shotgun shells and machine gun bullets. A shield wouldn't be a shield if it doesn't protect it's user.

If that post is true and you do need both hands in order to use the shield I'm guessing it's perk 1. It would be like a claymore, C4 or RPG's, press < on d-pad to wihp that badass motherfucker out. But if it were CS style and you can still use a pistol, I'd say it should block Primary weapon, as well as perk 1 and 2. Shield's would be heavy, all you need to do is throw a nade at them, I'm guessing they would be easy targets for RPGs and Grenade Launchers(Based on CS experience).

Well it can't just be invincible either can it? Otherwise it'll be cheap and unfair to use.
