How can i convert a .avi to a .gif?
Help appreciated.

You could try grabbing the frames from the .avi as stills using this, and then make an animated .gif in Image Ready or something similar. |

I asked the same question not too long ago... I had a program at one point that did it (was a trial and said the program name at the top)... but I uninstalled it and don't even remember what IT was called... and haven't found anything similar/better.

You probably could. It would lose a lot of quality and be a huge file.

If you can get screen shot images of the avi, I can convert it to a gif for you useing Jasc Animation Shop - thats how I did Swampy's avatar.
