Good point.
Half Life won 50 GOTY awards, and HL2 won over 40.
AND BioShock won GOTY this year, I just couldn't really get into BioShock though.

In terms of level design, graphics, gameplay, storyline, and accomplishment of what it set out to achieve, Bioshock takes this in my opinion. Yeah, it doesn't have multi-player, and yeah I don't play it anymore, but it's the most fun experience I've ever had playing a game.
GOTY shouldn't be based entirely on multi-player and replay value. A Bioshock with multi-player wouldn't have been great, and in my opinion, they've made it about as "replayable" as a game of that genre can be. That's why it has my vote.
