ad matter of fact is, when a game gets too realistic, its not really fun to play.

halo 3 is classic. it doesnt have to be realistic to be fun.

and COD 4, has MODERN WARFARE WEAPONS. and to me, all the assult rifles are the same, all the SMGs, are the same, and All the LMGs, are the same.
AND all the Snipers are the same.

in the other hand, halo 3 got some crazy ass, si fi, weapons. which is really fun to use. each gun got a unique feel to it, lik the bruteshot, the the hammer, The Sword, the Sniper Rifle, i can keep on going on.

oh yea, dont forget the support weapons, that shit is UNIQUE, you canot find that kind of shit in COD 4, Can you? NOPE!

Oh yea dont forget, HAlo 3 has VEHICLES, which add to another level of gameplay. damn So much shit halo 3 has to offer, and people still bash it, just because it gets overhyped.

First of all to the moron who said COD is better than Halo like its a well known fact, explain why Halo has like 10x the user base?

People tend to follow the best, it's why games like Halo and World of Warcraft trump every other game in their genres.

And to the guy who said COD4 is more realistic, well duh. Halo is a fantasy sci fi, why would you expect it to be realistic? Who says people always want realism? Isn't the point of video games to get away from life and enjoy something different?

ok,what about the single player in cod4.not much replayability but what a ride.i cant say much about halo 3 because i have only got a way in.but halo 1 was ok and halo 2 was the same-ish.i got to the last level and couldnt be bothered so i traded it in

Cod4 and Halo 3 are Totally different games with different timelines, storys, gameplay, ect..

You can't compare the two...idk why you guys are saying one is better than the other...

you can't really win. almost everyone on here who have h3 and cod4 are going to say it's better. the user base?halo has been hyped and already had an amazing fan base when they made the good halos. h1 and 2. the support weapons and power-ups ruin it for me. h2 was good, but then they had to mix it up and add a bunch of shit. the maps are garbage as well. that's just what i have to say, but i think others will agree or at least agree that cod4 is better than h3.

The Call of Duty single player was the only thing that justified the price tag for me. Short but sweet.

Halo 3 is not the best multiplayer game imo. There's nothing innovative about the game. Everything in it is the same as Halo 2 (Yes... even the graphics). While the weapons may all have a distinct feel to them that alone does not make a truly great multiplayer experience. COD4 has the best mp. Tons of game modes and unlockables. An extensive ranking system with weapon upgrades and perks. And who really needs support weapons when you have the ability to call in air strikes and 'copter barrages. COD4 took every good with the series and improved it. It took everything bad and scrapped it. Added new gameplay features, changed the scenery and viola! You have a new game. Halo 3 took Halo 2 and copied it, added some matchmaking features and called it Halo 3... when it should have really been named Halo 2.5.
