Just bought an iPod Nano, what should I expect?
So I just put down the cash for an iPod nano. I've wanted an mp3 player ever since the 1st ever iPod, but never got around to doing it.
The storage capacity is right (4 gigs is good), and it's tiny enough to take to the gym, and it has a screen (what were they thinking with the shuffle?).
So does anyone on here have a Nano? I've seen them and played around with them, but I finally get one for myself!! I heard that they scratch easily. What kind of case/iPod armor are you using to the protect the thing?

I don't know about anyone else but i absolutly hate iTunes. I've used my sister's ipod's a few times and that program is such a pain in the arse to use. I would much prefer if it was more like a mass storage device, you could just drag and drop the files into a folder (Like my PSP )

I love my Nano! I got the most amazing case you can think of for it also. I recommend not opening your Nano until you buy a case or else you will regret it. I traded in my white Nano for a black one because it was a little bit defective and also because I wanted a black one without scratches. You really need to check out these pics of my case because you will automatically want one after you see these.
You can visit www.goincase.com just to check out their sweet site and then you can head over to www.apple.com to actually buy it!
BUT FIRST, check out these pics of my Incase with matching black Nano!

The packaging that the Incase comes in looks like it's more expensive than the Nano! Nah, kidding. I will always buy an Incase for my future iPods and gadgets. I jsut wish they made these cases for digital cameras and such.
Omar, you will not be disappointed if you get this case. Nobody really knows about them even though they're on apple.com and they do not really take up any more space than the Nano so you can still have the Nano weight and size in your pocket. The version I got was called the Folio or something and it is $25 instead of the other two which are called the Wallet and just a normal case for $20 each.

My Sony MP3 player is like the PSP, you drag and drop all your tunes and it takes care of the rest. I am not that familiar with i-Tunes so I don't know how to go about transferring songs from that. It displays title, artist, album, and speed at which it is playing.

itunes is the boss of mp3 player software. no matter what people say apple ipods are the best out there. its just a shame that everyone who has one is accused of trying to be cool. i preordered one of those new ipods which plays video and i cant wait!

Everyone thinks that you are trying to be popular and want people to look at you when you have any gadget made by Apple. We buy stuff from them because they make the most eye-catching and most well built equipment, not because they're trendy items.
Tell us what you think of that video iPod when you get it, jophassa! The only reason why I'm holding out on that one is because 2GB is good enough for me because I get sick of songs really fast and I'm picky with my songs. Also, the Nano is a flash-based player, which means that you can take it to the gym and run with it without having to worry about the HD gettings wrecked.

Do you have a digital camera? If you do then just upload them onto your computer and them host them for free with www.photobucket.com.
Jophassa, check out my pics up top of my case if you're worried about your new iPod Video getting scratched. I think Incase are about to release a case made for it.

Or use http://bratch.co.uk/coven/show_upload.php No need to register or anything and you can upload all common file types up to 1GB.
