I wanna punch gamefly in the face
I know there has been threads on this before, but has anyone been having problems lately with gamefly? I finally just decided to cancel my membership after my last 5 or so games have just not shown up. So essentially the last 46 dollars I have spent with them have gone to waste.
It bothers me though because for the first 1-2 years I don't remember having any problems with them. It was very convenient because the local video store charges you 6 dollars for one week and they have a shitty selection of games.
What are blockbusters rates these days and what is their selection like? There is one about 15 minutes away, but I am not gonna go out there if they don't have anything.
I really wish I had the funds to start my own Gamefly because I don't think I could possibly provide less of a service. I mean has anyone even seen gameflys customer support hours? They are only there 4 hours a day. What is so hard about providing a quality service? I might really look into this as I have almost graduated college and need something to do lol.

Your games dont show up? Sounds like a postal problem not GameFly. I've had them for 4 years now and only had 2 shipping problems, and that was the post offices fault, not GF.

I initially believed it as a postal problem but as I have been doing some research, this seems to be a reoccurring problem. I have friends here that have Netflix and have NO problems ever receiving their movies. From what I understand Netflix gives you ONE shipping error before they charge you. Gamefly has no such policy, but I know they have not charged me. This has happened at more than one address and more than one post office. I only believe I had one or two problems in the first year or two of my membership, but in the last two years its been at least 5 or 6 times. I have opened up claims with the Post Office and they say they didn't find anything.

Well if you're dead set on changing, I know blockbuster rents out movies and stuff just like netflix but I'm not sure if it works with video games as well...but even if not, they do offer a service where you can keep a game as long as you like I think.

This is serious because we are both using the Pittsburgh shipping center. I hope this doesn't start happening to me.

Where do you live? Apartment, Condo, House, College Dorm? Is the problem more sending or returning?
They have never charged me for lost games, so I would expect them to charge you. Netflix owns GameFly hence why they have the same shipping methods and policies. Just because you dont loose movies doesnt mean it isnt a postal problem, games are worth a whole lot more re sold then a movie.
*edit Andrew, mine come form the Penn one too, and I'm in Chicago. Never had an issue from them.

It could very well be my post office, I am not completely ruling it out. However, this has happened at two different post offices? I have mailed my bills and games back on the same day, but my bills get there. If I mail my games back, they get there, but they don't ever show up? I would assume the best possibility in gameflys defense is 1. Someone is stealing my mail (which I doubt because I get junk mail and packages that my mom sends me and I get a shit load of stuff from UPS and no ones ever taken it) 2. Someone at the post office or mail carrier is taking my games
I would feel better about this if Gamefly had some sort of tracking on their Games. I am just very frustrated, games are 60 bucks and Gamefly has saved me a lot, but I have pissed away the last few months of my membership.

I go to school, but both the places I lived up here have been regular houses with their own mailbox. One of which you would actually have to come into one of the doors to get to the mailbox. So if someone where to steal my mail, they have to pretty much come into my house. This has also happened at my parents house. Like I said, it could be the Post Office. But come on, 4/6 games not showing up? If someone where doing that at the post office they would be dumb because I have reported shipping problems. So either the United States Post Office is out too get me or this is just really bad luck.

Yes, yes I am. I am just annoyed, I don't wanna piss my money away. Trust me, I have been a gamefly member for 3.5-4 years now and I have always told my friends to get it, but I can not justify it if my games are not going to come. I have spent more time in the last 3 months waiting for my games to come then I have had my games.
