multiplayer on the same xbox available?

in previous civ games you could play against your m8s in the same room since it was a turn based game. you basically just handed the mouse/keyboard around dependant on whos go it was.

I am hoping that you can do the same in this, although I see no reference to it anywhere.

omg thats crazy. what is it with games nowadays being utter crap for a group of m8s coming round. It is as if they just make the game for the sad lonely man who sits at home just playing on live. live is great fun, but sometimes you just wanna have fun with some mates right next to you :/

my game collection

cod4: awful split screen play
gta4: no split screen
the orange box: no split screen
forza2: good split screen but I aint a huge driving fan this came with my xbox

I just bought Ut3 recently to get a decent split screen game (this shows it clearly isnt the system holding it back its just the developers being gay)

ah well, guess ill have to just try and decide if its worth it then :/ I might well not buy this game now lol

Well you could do what I do when my friends are over..pass the controller after you die or after every game, etc. Work out a system that is fair for everyone.

passing over the controller is hardly as good friendly competition.

and alot of my m8s do already have xbox's but its more fun being sat in the same room and not worth moving the xbox.

ah well, all they will do is relegate the console, if it doesn't improve ill just go back to PC gaming

better quality etc. Especially since I can easily run my PC through my TV too.

ah well, grumble off. I decided to save £15 and buy the entire civ collection for PC civ1+2(and expansions)+3(and expansions)+4 struck me as the better option since revolutions has had quite a few negative comments from old time civ players.
