New to the series...

I was thinking about getting Civ but i've never played any of the previous ones... I plyaed a demo it was pretty intersting... but for those of you who have it how would you rate it?

I'm a big fan of the series, its kind of a cut-down version of the PC titles, but that doesnt make it bad. If you enjoyed the demo at all, I think its a worthy purchase.

I call it the time killer. Cause once you start playing, 4 hours of your life will disappear before you know it.

Well thats great. Sometimes after a long day in school i just need to zone out and issapear for a while. (lol) Just one thing... plases don't tell me it's 60 bucks!

Oh actaully one more thing... is there like a stoyr mode? Or is it just random instant action lets get to it?

Yes it is $60. Sucks I know.

No story, each Civ as its own bonuses and downfalls. You pick a Civ and and you get a random map and location, settle your city and begin.

There are senarios that you can play. I just however began playing those, so I cant comment on them to much. They switch up the gameplay a little to make things different enough. Then they have the 'Game of the Week' which is upload every Sunday. Its a new gaem that every gets and can try to play for the best score of the week.

Trust me, if your looking for a game that kills time, and you can just sit back and enjoy, this is it. Its relaxing until the whole world declares war on you because you hold the Nukes

Good to hear. I just got my xbox 360 for christmas last year and in 7 months i haven't had money for much games. (being 17 does suck sometimes!) I've manged to go through all my games and the only thing that keeps me busy is madden and MLB lol. Are there good achievemnts for it? Is there online vs., co-op anything like that?

the achievments for it are very fun and challangeing, the online play i can't really talk for haven't tried it out.

The on-line works very well, of course your goinf to have to find other people willing to sit there for 3-4 hours playing it. (which I have).

You can either play Free-for-All, 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1. Or Teams 2 vs. 2. (seprate Counties that team together. I prefer FFA and teaming with a friend.
