Laptop suggestions with high CPU.....
Hi all
Im getting sick of using my slow work laptop at home as well, so I guess its time for me to look for a new system - no gaming, just general use and some basic video editing.
Im after a notebook with a very good CPU, a decent GPU, but low end RAM and HDD.
15" screen is fine, but must be a nice high res display.
I already have a new 500GB 7200rpm HDD ready and waiting.
I can get RAM through work pretty cheap.
Hence Im not really bothered about these two areas - I'd rather spend the money on a better CPU and GPU.
Any suggestions?

Since I had upgraded it etc, I had an offer I simply couldnt refuse on it a while back, which made me a small profit. You know me when it comes to getting a good offer
However, thats left me with using my work laptop at home as well, which isnt ideal since I dont like mixing work with home etc! So I need a basic system, but it seems that with every system I look at with a decent CPU etc, I also have to pay for a bigger HDD and more RAM, when i dont want it! lol

Not sure how much you want to spend, but you can put a Quad Core in a Dell Precision M6400....
It's got a £2500 price tag though!
