My advice is always the same....if you can physically run a cable then by all means,....use the cable. This way you don't need to buy a wireless adapter and you also don't have to subject yourself to interference and possible dropouts on the wireless.
As others have said, the Ethernet rated standard is 100 meters, or 327 feet depending upon what measurement system you use.

Used to have Wireless adapter, changed to an Ethernet and have much quicker load times and download speeds.

Long cable FTW  Its a faster connection and more secure. Many things can disconect a wireless connection such as mobile phones.

Hummm will have to try the wire later, haven't done wired in about 5 years.

Same here. I was running a wireless setup in my home and "borrowed" a 50 ft cable from work and it never drops out anymore.
