honeslty ifti i love it. it is much better than component. i did not realise at first but simple small details i discovered that i was never able to see before. i manage to adjust the color a bit puttin contrast to the max ;p.
for instance all the gamepics, and the achievment pics are so crisp and sharp. it is a real difference. before i was using 1080i and i thought it was still good btu i dont think i will go back. i am curious to see what the hdmi port could do though.
also because the xbox send the signal through vga it is analog right? so does the converter upscale it into a digital signal ?

but the movie you DL mike are in HD format? i dont think so mate otherwise you will downlaod like over 10Gb of data.... most likely you DL divX (compress format) or DVD rip. none are hd. unless you have a blue ray on your labtop you wont get anything hd.
except if you plug you 360

Even if you play a normal movie it will upscale it through the VGA.
Oh and yes you are getting HD through your VGA cable as the res is easily high enough.
