Personally if I could go again, I wouldnt have gone the route I have taken. Im sick of IT support. Spoon feeding people who cant be bothered to learn. Building software packages for distribution across the network. Configuring switches and VLANS etc. I dont enjoy it no more.
If I were you Bopper, I would take a more consultancy approach. Either that or really specialise in one area heavily. If you can get into switch configuration via the CISCO route heavily, or on firewalls, network security, voice over IP etc, you will earn mega bucks!
I have looked into project management or consultancy an dmay try one of these routes in the future.
Personally I would LOVE 3D modelling and animation. Stuff like these CG movies, or special effects in movies, computer game character design and animation etc. But I have no artistic talent etc which are required. I also feel I have left it too late. I wish I could go back to uni and do a course in this side of stuff, but I cant, not with a family to support!!

Thanks mate. I too would love to do 3D modeling, but I'm crap at art.
I'll look at specializing in something specific.

You should have told him there is no alternative, except the fairly priced Office deals you are offering...

Does anyone know anything abut 3D Studio Max?
Does it require actual drawing talent?
