Either that, or open up the case to your PC and have a look at the sticker on your existing stick of ram and write out the numbers and brand for us.

I'm in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool page right. It says System Manufacturer: Award_
System Model: AWRDAPCI
I just looked inside the computer and there is a label with stuff on it and it says Antec Performance at the top.
Does that help at all?
I can't see the the numbers on the stick of RAM.

The batteries have protectors in them to stop charging one they're topped up. So just leave it plugged in. As a good habit, I still disconnect my battery when I'm running from the power cable. But that's just me, and I don't seem to have any battery issues at all.
The 12 Cell will make it last a lot longer. You're talking double the battery life. So you gotta think how often you need the battery and how long you'd use it before you need to charge again.
Kevin: Download this and tell me what it says about your RAM.
I have to go to bed now, since it's midnight, but there are others here who can help you.

Hmm. I downloaded that and opened up cpu-z and it came up with tons of stuff. What specifically do you need to know?

Click on the memory tab, then tell us the type and frequency.

Really? There's no info in any of the other boxes?
Try Belarc Advisor.

The type and speed (could be labeled frequency) of the RAM.
Edit: Bah! Belarc doesn't give any of that information. The RAM will be labeled, if you feel comfortable opening up the PC.

This is all I'm seeing under Memory Modules:
224 Megabytes Installed Memory
Slot 'A0' has 256 MB
Slot 'A1' is Empty
Slot 'A2' is Empty
