run it in XP. Vista uses lots of system resource to run, thus taking away resources for other stuff like games, which are also resource hungry.

Hey all,
Im looking to buy a new PC known as the Annihilator XXX.
It has:
Processor Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 1066FSB 8MB Cache Quad Core Core 64 Bit Processor
Processor Speed 4 x 2.4GHz
Memory 2GB Corsair XMS 6400 DDR2 800MHz Dual Channel Ram
Hard Drive Dual 250GB 10,000RPM WD Raptors (2 x 250GB) Striped Raid & 1 500 16MB Buffer SATA
Graphics Tripple Sli Nvidia 8800GTX 2304MB PCI-E Graphics Running In SLI Mode
Drive 1 18x Dual Layer +R/-R/RW DVD burner
Drive 2 16x DVD Rom Drive
Sound ADI 1988B 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC
Motherboard Asus Striker Full SLI nVidia 680I
Case Thermaltake Black Aluminium Case & Tagan Turbojet 1300W PSU
Front Side Bus 533 / 800 / 1066 / 1333 MHz
so how do you guys think it will run?
i cant be bothered to upgrade, and the company Novatech, is one ive used for years so i trust them if u know what i mean.
Ill get it with Vista Home Premium or Ultimate, dunno whats better for gaming.
And also i wanna remove the 2 1gb RAM chips and replace them with 4x 2gb Ram chips, prefferably top corsair ram.
So that will = 8gb or RAM.
Sounds a bit OTT but ive started saving for it already and should get in a month or so, plus it will last a while and can be upgraded a lot.

Need some more help.
I opened up FF and it said StumbleUpon needed to be updated, I said OK and everything went fine, but when I got back on FireFox it wasn't using my theme, none of my add-ons were on, etc. They're all still in the theme/extension section, but none of it is working.
EDIT: Nevermind, I got it working.

Like a fucking train!!!!
For a home user go with Vista Home Premium, you won't use the extra features in Ultimate.
You upgrade the RAM to 8Gb and your gonna need to run Vista 64bit. I have no idea what it performs like for gaming.

You cant go back. The best thing to do if you feel you will stil use XP, is to install Vista on another partition and dual boot both operating systems.
