Both will use an algorithm to produce keys from a word of your choosing, so use AES, as it's more secure.
When connecting to the router with a wireless device you should be able to use the aforementioned password, rather than the key, as verification.

Use WPA-2. WPA won't let you use AES, so not as secure.

Question: How do some of the sites I visit have ads that know what city I am in?

Your IP address, it can be used to find a general location.

Not your street address though!

Thats how the RIAA know where to send Anti-piracy summons!

Sometimes they fuck it up though, because of DHCP and them analyzing old records!

oh i see thanks. I thought it just said what state you where in. I kind of don't like that they know my city, but whatever guess there's nothing I can do about it.
