What these cookies do is track which sites you're going to so they get an idea of your browsing habits. More often than not they don't collect any personal information at all.
But it's good to clear them regularly, just in case.

Oh I see now. thanks for explaining that. I have another dumb question. On Firefox, I have it so that everytime I close it, it clears the cookies, how come the spy cookies don't get cleared?

Hey all. Started looking into a laptop for university, n came across this: dabs.com - Fujitsu Siemens Amilo P Pa2548 Athlon X2 TL-60 3GB 320GB DVDRW Vista Home Premium (CUZNGBRVARIO043)
Looking for something for playing videos n music, browsing internet, chatting, maybe playing games, but nothing too intensive, around this price (under £500 really). From what I've read, the speaker quality isn't great, but I'd probably be buying external speakers for it anyway / using headphones, and apparently installing XP can be difficult, but there are ways around it.
Wondering what people thought of it, and if anyone could suggest any decent alternatives?

Hmm, not sure on that one. I can't give you an answer, sorry. Those cookies your spyware remover detects aren't from IE are they?

This is probably because your CPU is scaling to save power. With laptop CPUs, they very rarely run at their highest clock speed. They slow themselves down when they aren't being hammered so the battery life lasts longer. If you go into Power Management in your control panel you should be able to set it for maximum performance. This will make your CPU run faster when it doesn't need to and waste your battery much quicker.

Also, most laptops only use their full CPU clock speed when running on AC power.

Have you got any WMV movies on it?
Also, I think you need to press X to select the video source.

This is a bit of an odd/unimportant question, but I'm sure someone on here will know the answer, so I'll ask.
I had my final interview at college today, set up my email account etc. and while I was logging on to one of the PCs, I noticed they were using a Novell client...but not running Netware. So, the Novell splash screen would come up, then load to the familiar Windows login page. Basically, I'd be interested to know what purpose(s) the Novell client would be serving?
Cheers
Edit: Could Netware be used as a mail (or file) server, with Windows clients?
