You just need to find the MAC address, if it's a PCI card look in said cards configuration/monitoring utility (if it has one) or look on the packaging, it's usually on there. |

Or go to a command prompt (Start / Run, type 'cmd' and press OK)
Then in the command window type IPConfig /all - this should list your network adapters with their IP and MAC address etc. |

Hey guys,
Im looking for a new external HDD.
Preferable one with 2 500GB HDDs that can be mirrored, so 1TB in total.
Ive been looking at the Western Digital drives, which look really cool and I was very tempted, but then read reviews about it being very noisy....
Has anyone else got any recommendations?

lol no i thought you meant 2500G that's why i was liek WOOOW. now yeah 500Gb make more sense. Also i feel pretty dumb coz you mention 1 TB thereafter. But i was kinda obnubilated by the 2500 figure.

I may have to resort to one of those. I was ideally looking for a dual 500GB drive so that I could mirror one striaght onto the other.
Then again I think I should save the money and put it into the 'M3 Account'  |
