Paged Pool OS memory issues.
What is it and why wont it let me play portal?

Every so often when I load portal through steam I get an error message that tells me I'm "likely out of paged pool os memory!"

It loads as far as the blurry background before it pops up. Its happened before but after a few retries it sorted itself out, but now its getting worse!

How do I fix this?

after quickly trying google, it seems a few people are getting this error. google it and there will probably be a solution

A tech savvy friend of mine told me that he wasn't sure but he thinks its how much RAM is allocated to do each task, but he doesn't know what to do either ='[

Yah, lots of people are posting about it but I'm having trouble finding a solution.

Edit: this looks promising, its too late now but I'll try it tomorrow.
