Firefox Vs. IE (apple safari also a questionable third)

to be honest i'm a little confused why you would swap to Firefox when you have IE, now i'm more than willing to give anything a go but i just need to know a bit more before bothering to download firefox.

so, here's the question -

do you use Firefox or IE and what are the benefits of either over the other?

I use Fire Fox. One reason being that it is way easier to customize how it looks. Another reason being that you can add add-ons which can give you the weather, help you download, and make tab changes look like you are using that special linux effect that looks like a box turning on the screen when you change windows. Tabs are another thing. Instead of having to wait for IE to connect to the internet with each tab, FF is already connected so you don't have to wait for each tabs to load. I'm sure other people will cover a ton of other things I missed.

Looks nicer, has LOADS of add ons (Ad block etc) Themes.

Is ALOT safer and faster.

I don't know why ANYONE would use IE when Firefox is easily accessible.

Firefox. I installed it because I heard it was a lot safer. And I grew to like the customations and add-ons, as well as the bookmarks toolbar. That and the compatibility with Mozilla Thunderbird which I also use.
