PC. Apple Desktops are waayy overpriced, and they aren't upgradeable. If you have any interest in gaming, you would not buy a Mac. The video card options are terrible. Also, OS X isn't necessarily superior to Windows. Microsoft could do what Apple does and throw Windows on top of TrustedBSD, but instead they just milk the aging NT platform. Also, if you really like OS X just buy a PC and install OS X on it.

Yea I will buy a Mac Pro and slap an 8800GT into it. Great idea. Also seriously, just install OS X on your PC.

What do you do to your PC that would make you have to repair it every other day?

Yes, because making an already expensive machine more expensive is ideal. I'm also sure you can use hardware Apple doesn't normally use

Seriously, can I add a high quality soundcard? No. Can I use a competing graphics card or CPU? No.

The upgrades you can do are very linear overall.

Switch it on its seems

Na its not really that bad, just every now and then something comes up, like the fact UT3 blue screens because of my sound card drives, at least thats what i think...
My wireless network likes to have days off now and then and just not work very well.
And something keeping going FUBA every now and then, i really need to format but i am waiting till i get another hard drive stick it on there then format this one.

Yeah, i took it over the top but little things keep cropping up now and then, nothing serious just those kinda of things you don't want.
IE BF2 crashing (sorted now)

And torrents seem to kill my connection, if i leave one running over night i wake up with either them all at 0k or my internet not working until i restart the router....

Mac all the way I will never go back. I neve have problems with freezing and viruses like I did with my windows machine. All the videos you see of Mac Books freezing and restarting on youtube are bullshit. Those were the first macbooks that came out. The lastest ones are stable. OS X compared to Windows XP(Have not used Vista). OS X is just simply the best OS I have ever used it just works.

I'm glad your happy.

It makes me laugh when people say "It just works", I'm not having a dig at you personally, but a propriety OS on propriety hardware is meant to work!

Go buy an SGI workstation with IRIX OS, or a Sun workstation with Solaris.

They just work too!

The PC issue is that you have literary billions of hardware configuration types that MS has to support, and make it all work together in perfect harmony. Occasionally this doesn't happen, and you get issues like random crashes and blue screens.

But, when it does work it works well, and as far as I'm concerned this is a pretty big accomplishment.
