let me know how the Phenom 9500 goes, I'm thinking an upgrade would be nice, and bang-for-buck, those quads are great compared to the Intel Chips.

According to Tom's Hardware, the AMD Phenom 9500 is about 13.5% slower than the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600. Slower, But Cheaper Than Intel's Smallest Quad-Core - Tom's Hardware : Phenom 9700, AMD's 1st Quad-Core CPU

The price difference is very small now too. I think the Phenom is $195 and the Core 2 Duo is $219. For that little of a price difference, I would certainly put the money into the Intel chip which I believe also overclocks better.

my computer came with intel core2 quad its the new gateway fx7026 and i love it only problem is 64 bit not many driver updates for the 64 bit out there
