I currently have 2 screens. one is big and the other is smaller. My video card lets me switch between screens or use them both. 2 screens are annoying sometimes, but come in very handy when editing or designing stuff.
I know you probably want 3 identical screens if you do end up getting 3, but my suggestion is that you get one big one that you'll use for whatever, and then 2 smaller ones that can be turned on when you are editing.
I have 2 screens hooked up, but the majority of the time i only use one screen

Woah, you find 2 screens annoying? how so?
I think its amazing, i have FF almost full screen over here, and on the other screen, xfire, msn, winamp, and my documents open.

Whats the conveter that allows you to use two screens?

All you need is two outputs on your graphics card, plug the monitors in, go to display settings (where you change res etc) and enable the second monitor, get a program like ultramon and you can have the task bar on the second monitor, tis good sheet.

On mine ive got a standard blue female plug and a strange white female pulg on my card.
