If not is there an easyer way to remove all the programs and data and start again?

if you have system restore on XP enabled. Go to accessories and system tools and go to system restore and select the earliest date availabe.

I don't find that backing up data to an external drive, formatting and reloading Windows and the software that I need in a 2-3 hour period of time is that hard. Computer always runs far better when I am done.

Just wanted to see. Im going to most likely backup later then reformat overnight.

Believe me, im am. Not as amazing as some of you but im more than most people i know. Just never reformatted a PC before.

Why reformat over night? It only takes a minute if you do a quick format.
