Xbox live question.

I want to play GTA 4 with my brother, but because there is no offline multiplayer mode of any kind, I was wondering if it is at all possible to have two seperate live accounts and two seperate xbox 360 consoles hooked up to a router. Would I be able to play with my brother on xbox live if both of our consoles are hooked up to the same internet connection through a router? I want to know if this is possible before I go buy GTA 4, because if it is, I'm going to buy it twice.

Personally i would say, yes it would work, to play the existing online modes but you can't play the story together.
Go buy it it twice try it, if it wont work take one back most places let you do that just say you bought it as a gift for someone but they already have it or something, be creative.
