Torrent killing my internet
Hi I've been using torrents to download stuff for ages and have never got this problem, I've been downloading something in totall for just over a day and its been downloading between 50 and 100 kb/s, this is slow for my connection but thats just because there are too many leechers and not enough seeders. The problem is that about since about 3 hours ago whenever i am downloading on utorrent my internet goes extremely slow, the torrent speed stays the same but browsing the internet is a nightmare... It used to be fine and it would be just as fast as when im not downloading but now its terrible. I have not changed any settings or anything, so does anyone know why this has suddenly started happening?

Pause the torrents when surfing the internet. Your provider probably cut back your bandwidth because you're a bandwidth hog.

try cutting down your upload speed and see if your browsing speed increases.

Im doing that but it's more convenient to leave it downloading as its such a large file (24GB) i need to have it downloading as much as i can whilst im on computer, im not aloud to leave it on over night.

But if you limit upload to much it makes your download speed alot slower.
