Another audio problem with vga - pc

hey everyone,

so im new to the xbox but im just going to jump straight in to my problem.

I would like to play the xbox through my monitor which is in the link:

PC Upgrader

So i ordered the VGA HD AV cable of play:

Play.com (UK) : Official Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable : Xbox 360 - Free Delivery

i plugged it in and the display worked perfectly until i realised i didnt have anywhere to put the two audio leads. My monitor doesnt have any speaker system or holes for audio, and i use an external speaker system,

this is it here:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...odid=SP-092-CL

which features a socket for the white audio lead, a weird socket for the red lead not at all like the white one, and a power cable. The white audio lead fits with the white hole, but like i said the red hole is very different, wider, and with a totally different pin connector set up.

of one of the speakers there is a lead with a green head at the end which connects to the pc tower to make it work.

so... i dont know how to get the audio leads to work. i do have the 3.5 mm splitter similar to this:

Adaptor -Mini Jack 3.5mm Headphone Splitter MP3/iPOD/CD on eBay, also Other, Cables Connectors, Home Audio Hi Fi, Consumer Electronics (end time 15-Jun-08 15:49:45 BST)

that came in the box.

I brought down my sisters i pod speakers and there was an audio in hole which i used and the sound worked perfectly. so what im asking is, instead of having to change speakers that come equip with the two audio holes (or one proper one) can i make it work atm with my current set up.

my first thought was that id have to connect the audio leads to the end of the green lead, that should work, but there all leads that end the same. so ideally i need an adapter with both sides 3.5mm holes. (had a look with no luck)

sorry if this is long and id greatly appreciate any help, thanks a lot!!

p.s ill try and get some pictures up to make it bit more clearer
