yeah. keep your life while you go it. when your real old your regret it. i only play my video games quite a bit at the moment cause new house and new job, once finance is sorted no more long gaming sessions, just a bash with the lads.

lol ya'll beeing way over the top,
stop being so stereotypical, WoW players are not WoW addicts, maybe to other things, but not WoW.
Stop going by personal experience.

The reason why people play it a lot, is because its good, very good, the best MMO in fact.
you dont need me to tell you that.

And no you dont need to play it in many hour sessions to justify its monthly fee.
It gets new content shoved in it, very very regularly, through patches for free, of course.
+ the new expansion is going to make it rediculousy good.
Now is the best time to sign up!
Ive had a better, much better experience playing wow than i have xbox live and the 7-8 games i own for it.

The best thing you can do is at LEAST try the trial version which is free.

You and everyone else are/will be idiots not too, especially if you think you would like MMO's/Fantasy settings etc etc.

Ignore the others who have obviously had bad experiences/havent ever played it/or are just being stereotypes.

You might regret not trying it, at least get the trial version, its a no-brainer.
If you want the best MMO in the buisiness then WoW is it.
Its got more content than you can shake a stick at.
10+ million players
Plus its the most social game ive played.

I only tried the trial version, but from that, I hated it. Graphics suck, gameplay is repetitive and boring, environments are laughable, and the game is way too laughable.

Wait for the KOTOR MMO if you really want a good MMO

^^ one of the best things about WoW is its graphics,
no im not saying its a crysis lookalike here,
but what im saying is.

You can run WoW on the slowest of machines without a hitch, and the ratio between Performace/Graphics is huge, which is the same for almost all games made by Blizzard.
If ur an open-minded gamer, you will see what gameplay > graphics, which is why runescape is also popular.
and hell, i still play diablo 2!!

The games design, open-ended feel, amount of content, polish, and players makes WoW what it is.
Its an experience not to miss.
Its the obvious choice for anyone who wants to get involved in MMO's.

I would listen to Rhymez if I were you. I'm not a WoW player, but I'm a huge MMO fan (or used to be, whatever) and he seems to know what he's talking about.

You won't get addicted to WoW, it's a casual MMORPG. It's a much easier game in terms of how often you can log on for an hour or two and then just go back to doing something else. In other MMORPGs like FFXI, you cannot get ANYTHING done in 2 hours.

Go ahead and play the trial, if you like it, subscribe. If not, oh well, the trial was free.

Edit - BTW, I don't agree with you saying its the best MMO. Many people have different tastes, I played it for a week and also tried out some private servers and thought it was very boring. But it's definitely the MMO to buy if you're just getting into the genre.

Well, all I saw were the same repeating enemies, players running around, the NPC's just stand around, the worlds are boring, must I go on?

MMORPG's don't really become fun until end game, you can't base your opinion of an MMO on the first few levels. As far as I know the best part of WoW is raiding dungeons, you don't get to do that until end game.
