I am a film major. I do quite a bit of editing for my videos or other friends' videos. Final Cut Pro works wonders.

you can make movies good enough to be in the theather

actually quite a few lower budget films have used final cut and done Great!!!

should i be getting a macbook if im going into graphic design? ill be working with the entire adobe suite and possibly final cut when i do my independant media stuff.

its great for the arts
i have photoshop

but i need to know how to resize images
i dont know how to

i know that but lets say i select an image with the lasso tool and then i want to resize it right there and i dont know the dimensions like i want to take the head of one person and put it on someone else.

When you have what you want selected with the lasso, go to Edit>Transform, and you can resize the selection. Is that what you wanted to know?
