I don't really know you can remove gaming from the equation...since almost everybody here is going to be into gaming and that's why millions of people actually own a computer.

For me personally, I'm a PC guy. While Mac's are ok, I'm not thrilled with my hardware choices being so limited and having the GUI and interface so locked down that you cannot do much to change it. While Mac OSX is fine, I'm a Linux guy and my Linux distros give me the key features of OSX without limiting my ability to change things.

Since I've only used windows computers, I'm gonna say PC, but I'd love to have a Mac.
I don't use computers for gaming, just photoshop, fruity loops, and internet.

My question is ....Why do you feel that you would love to have a Mac? What are you expecting it to give you that's going to really knock your socks off???? When I hear Windows people say this, to me it sounds like "Well, I've settled for a PC with Windows, but someday I'll actually get my MAC and then I'll be happy". I just don't understand the fascination.

they are extemely easy to use and user friendly

all of the programs work together seamlessly

i think that the best way to get a macbook for portable use and then get a windows desktop for gaming and storage ect.
