Nope, I don't use them. Just resource hogs which take up deskspace, CPU cycles and such.

I got rid of it because my laptop started up way to slow. I had my gamertag, weather, and computer performance.

I use notes on it. Makes life simple when I need to write down a number real fast.
Other than that though I don't use it all that much.

I use the local weather and the CPU and memory usage on the sidebar. How do you get your xbl card in it?

I used to but I wasn't really looking at it when it was on, I used to have clock, calendar and weather on mine.

I have nothing on my desktop except a clock. My wallpaper is too nice to have anything covering it.

I use it for one gadget, a CPU and RAM monitor, but I don't have the sidebar open if you know what I mean.

I do use it. I currently have a CPU meter, a calendar, some sport scores, and a Google Calendar gadget that shows me my upcoming schedule. I used yo hate it before i got a 16:10 display. But now, it's really not a problem. I also have my gamercard off on the opposite corner, w/ opacity at usually 60%
My system's fairly powerful, so performance has never been enough of an issue to where i've thought of cutting the Sidebar out. I usually don't have more than Firefox and iTunes open anyway.
