My downloads keep freezing?
This is annoying..
Everytime i go to download something it will get around 25% completed then it'll freeze.
This is a recent problem which has just started over the past couple of days.
Things i've tried after a google search..
System Restore
Making a new Firefox profile
Deleting downloads.splite from Firefox profiles
Re-installing Firefox
Trying a different browser (IE7)
This is really frustrating, any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Im using the BT Home Hub.

Not sure if this will help but you could try updating your wireless adapter. I was getting half the download speed I should and after updating my wireless adapters driver that fixed my problem. I suppose you could also try Google Chrome.

Try and update through Windows Update or open up the device manager (type into start menu search box), expand Network Adapters. Right click your wireless card then click Update Driver Software..., then just select to search for new driver.

Theres a few things you can try..
1. Use a download manager..
2. Test it in another browser (E.G Opera..) this way you'll know if it's the browser or the connection.
3. Clean out your downloads folder of unneccesary stuff.. and the downloads.rdf file in your profile ( Profile folder - MozillaZine Knowledge Base )
4. turn off any firewall you have on (including the windows firewall)
Or just test out a download in something like Limewire or Bittorrent.. like dave said it could be based on connection speed but if it's low to begin with it wouldn't start then stop.. it would just not move.

Treid both of these, same results.
It downloads at about 100kB/s, then just stops.
Going to run a full on virus scan, cheers for the idea's guys.
Thanks for the idea's though guys

Well that's a shame, have you got a recovery DVD in case you exhaust every other option? It's a bit of a palaver having to back up everything etc. but it should fix any software issues.

I dont think so.
I was able to download Safari from the apple website which is 20MB, but then i tried to download from a file sharing website and it froze again.

Are you having problems with all downloads (guessing not as you have downloaded safari) or is it just torrent and other sharing type sort of downloads you are having problems with ?
IF it is the latter you may find that your ISP has put some kind of restriction on your bandwidth when using this sort of traffic
