Need help with parts for building a pc around 800 dollars

Ok, I posted a while back in like April in the official computer thread about building a pc but now I think I am most likely going to do it. I am looking for a nice gaming machine and I need a new keyboard, mouse and those 2 satellite speakers as well. I want to spend around 800 - 900 dollars with those peripherals. I also today just downloaded the windows 7 RC 64 bit one just in case I was going to build a pc and have a free os for a while till Windows 7 official comes out. Also with that what kind of dvd's do you need to burn the .iso cause I am not sure if it is dvd-r or dvd+r or both can be used. Thanks a lot. I want to see how good of a machine I can get for this price so I can decide if I am really going to build one or not.

Also I have been researching around and seems like the only case that can fit fine in my desk area without really hanging out is the Antec 300 case which seems good. Just to let you know.

if your building a pc for gaming then you may want to find a new area for a tower b/c an antec 300 won't be able to fit most of the newer video cards b/c they're huge!

Check out sharkyforums.com and ask what components to get within your budget there. They're a great group of guys and can help you out. I'de help you out, but I haven't really looked into hardware since I built my comp late last year.

Be sure to get a case that will fit a large graphics card. Also be sure to get the best power supply you can afford...newer graphics cards and cpu's use alot of power and you want room to upgrade

I have an Antec 300. Nice case, but as that guy said, it won't fit the latest graphics cards in it.

I didn't see any reviews were people were saying it couldn't really fit I mean unless you get like a gtx 295 or something then maybe but if not I can always fit a bigger case its not that much of a problem.

Here is a really good case:
PROVANTAGE: Cooler Master RC-690-KKN1-GP CM 690 Mid Tower Case - No P/S

For a power supply I recommend something from Corsair or PC Power + Cooling.

If your not gaming get a 9800GT or so. But if you are and plan to get a decent sized monitor go for a GTX 260.

EDIT: Awesome pic Vermillion that case looks awesome. I would get that case for sure.

I just build a machine for my mother in law, used the Thermaltake M9 Chassis, had the machine together in 15 minutes.

Newegg.com - Thermaltake M9 VI1000BWS Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

Awesome case to work with, and great value too.

Do you need all the components priced out DK?
