Plasma cutter achievement

I'm trying to go through DS using only the plasma cutter. Question is will I still get the achievement if I use the heavy damage cutter or is for only the regular cutter? Thanks.

If you are using the regular plasma cutter and switching to the downloaded content plasma cutter, you will still get the achievement. I know this because from Chapter 1 to 4 I used the Reg. Plasma Cutter then I switched to Heavy DMG Plasma Cutter and still got the achievement.

Good deal, used the cutter mostly in the first round, I'm sure the hvy cutter can get me to the end on hard.
