Well, if you had read my post or any reviews you would realize that Dante is still there in full force. Along with Nero who is nearly as much fun to play as, and maybe even more fun on bosses. They're REALLY similar.

i don't think it's slow, it's just i haven't had time to/ been motivated to do much of anything.

I like this game very much, but I can understand why so many people ar not too fond of it however. And I respect that - but I still have a lot of fun with the game (altough I am not very good at it).

how are you able to play as Dante? But yeah I like it as well, just not very good, my first DMC I have ever played.

after you finish the game with Nero you unlock Dante and some other game modes. there is an achievement called "Half Way there" and its for completing mission 11. so, if there is reall 22 missions then i know for a fact that i wouldn't want to go all the way back through it with Dante. You really don't even pay that much attention while hacking and slashing. Nero is almost identical to Dante anyways.

well, not 22 missions, I made the same assumption, turns out, its just 20
I thought the game was great, I stuck to it, although, I've played all the devil may cry's, except two, which apperently is a good thing?
or so I've heard

I've just played 3 and 4, but plan on renting 1. I have heard that 2 was crap. I beat 3 on all the game modes and unlocked everything, and still had fun with it after that. 124 hours or so. I'll probably get even more out of this game. Dante is used in lvls 12-18, and is useable in Bloody Palace. He's almost identical to his DMC3 version when it comes to moves and styles. Right now I'm playing through Son of Sparda mode. It's pretty different from Human and Devil Hunter. The puzzles and platforming are harder, enemies are placed differently ( Like a Blitz being in lvl 3), and they have new moves. It's really worth it in DMC games to play through the different difficulties, which is a good excuse for short run throughs and backtracking, lol.

I beat the game(all 20 missions) on Human, Devil Hunter, Son of Sparda, Dante Must Die, and Heaven or Hell difficulty as well as all 101 levels of bloody palace. Working on Hell or Hell right but i don't find this game repetitive at all. Compared to Assassin's Creed this game is so much better.
