Get carpet tiles man. My old gaming/party room had carpet tiles and I had about 50 spare under the house. Spill something, take the tile it was spilled on outside, hose it down and leave it to dry. Grab a spare tile and stick it in it's place!
Best shit ever invented for party rooms and stuff!

There are virtually no commercial 720p CRTs on the market.
At any rate, the best bang for your buck would be the following setup:
30" Philips 30PW8420/37B CRT HDTV Refurb - $389
Onkyo HT-S580 - $250 New or $180 Refurb
For the price you can't beat that.

I assume you mean this 27" RCA. It's not HD and therefore it does not do 720p nor 1080i natively. There are no commercial CRT HDTVs that do 720p natively on the market that I've ever seen. There are a few obscure taiwanese CRTs, but they haven't been made in years last I read. They all do 480i/p, and 1080i natively. If they accept 720p, they simply upscale the 720p signal to 1080i before displaying it.
