Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR2
I am really considering this LCD. I know there will be some hookup issues to get the 1080 signal, but it will be mostly for HDTV and movies. OF course I will be playing some Box on it as well.
Is 8ms a fast enough response time for an LCD not to tear video?
Anybody have one of these?
Let me know what you think, the price is really dropping nicely.

do you want 1080p or 1080i, because for 1080p w/ that particular one you need an xbox 360 vga cable and a vga to dvi adapter to get 1080p

Ok.
In the link i gave, there is a pdf download for the tv's manual.
On page 16 of that manual, it gives you a closer image of the connections.

I believe there's been an issue with Sony TVs accepting 1080p via VGA. I'ld do some research if that is large concern for you. Head over to the avsforum, you'll find a thread dedicated to the XBR2s. I have not heard otherwise, but it may have been fixed...again you should research...let us know.
Also, at that size range I recommend getting a plasma. Darker blacks gives you a much better picture, burn in isn't a problem, and a 60,000 hour life is long enough for pretty much everyone.
