HDTV Cable Vs Component....
Hi again
What are your views on this?
Currently I'm using the Component HDTV cable that comes with the 360. Is this giving me the best quality? I've been told the VGA input may be better? Is this true?
Finally, is there an actual HDTV cable for the 360, or do we have either the component of VGA only?
Many thanks in advance.

I've heard that the VGA and the component are similar.. but a lot of people go with VGA because it upscales dvd's. I use component and can't complain.
As far as 'HDTV cable' I don't know what you mean. DVI or HDMI? No it doesn't. Hope that helps.

HDTV refers to a high resolution signal...usually 720p or above. It doesn't have anything to do with cables. Component, VGA, DVI, HDMI all transmit HD signals and are all the same level of quality. The first two are analog, the second two are digital.
The reason VGA is often preferred with the 360 is because it'll upconvert DVDs via VGA but not via Component.

Hi
Thank for the replies.
I dont really use my Xbox to watch DVDs on, so I guess component connections will give me the best quality for gaming....
Thanks

Multimedia interface, what exactly is it? Does it means you can plug almost anything into it?

HDMI moves both audio and video. It does this digitally while also reducing a cable count.
Does the VGA really upscale the DVDs? HMM I may have to go buy one.
