What resolution?

I have a Samsung 940MW HDtv, the native resolution is 1440x900. I'm using the VGA cable and can't decide whether to use 1280x1024 or 1360x768. 1360x768 is closer to the native res(I think!) but 1280x1024 will pack more pixels onto the screen, so which should I use?
Thanks

1280x768, it'll give you the least stretching. 1280x1024 is fullscreen...don't use it

If I use 1280x1024 in widescreen mode there is no stretching, should I use it like that?

EDIT: 1280x1024 in widescreen mode and 1280x768 look the same, i'm guessing this is becuase the TV cuts the vertical res to somewhere around 768 to make it widescreen.
