Best XBox 360 & Media Center PC Setup (software)

Just did a fresh install of Windows MCE 2005... I want to make sure I setup the best possible configuration for the 360.

I mainly use the 360 to watch .avi's and occassionally .mpg...

My previous method:
1. Install XboxMCEFULL-ENU.exe
2. Install Transcode360Setup.exe
3. Update to the latest "mencoder" from the transcode forums

This way works, but there were a couple of movies that the sound didn't sync well with...

The only reason I use MCE 2005, is to use the xbox as a media extender... If there's a better method, using XP Pro, i'm willing to try that as well.

Anyone have any better recommendations?
