good surround sound for less then $100
hi all.
I just got a surround sound system made by Logitech. Its for pcs but has an adapter INCLUDED to hook it up to the 360 via the red/white cables. I have to say, it sounds pretty good to me. when playing games you can hear things behind you in the rear speakers just like you should.
It's amazing in dead rising, you feel like your surrounded by zombies.
THE PLUGS: On the back of the sub is where everything plugs up, so theres no bulky dvd player with it. there are 3 headphone like jacks (i don't know the cable types), you only end up using one... anyways it goes to the adapter that switches it into the red and white plugs witch the 360 cables plug into.
This system probably works better in small rooms, i have mine all around my bed area  .

using the Red and White cables CANNOT produce surround sound. The only way to get surround sound from the 360 is through the optical digital output. The red/white is analog.
While you might be hearing sounds out of all 5 speakers, I can assure you that it's not 5 channel surround sound. At best, it's a simulated surround sound (aka...not really surround sound).

well it sounds awsome and thats all i care about :/.
this is for people who don't have 1000's to spend on video games...
I know it's not TRUE honest to goodness surround sound system, but it works great all the same.

It won't give you surround sound. All you need for true surround sound is about $200. The X-540s are not worth wasting money on when saving up a bit more can get you a system worth keeping for years.
Perhaps you like it, but you probably haven't experience true surround sound either. There's a night and day difference.

well i do like it, is sounds sick.
I don't want to hear real surround sound, don't want to know anything better since I can't afford it.
I don't have $200 lying around...
Also i got this one for x-mas so i didn't pay for it, I'm just saying that it's good for the cost...
