Question How do I get 1080P out of the 360

I have the options in Console Set-up, and my Mit. DLP is capable of a 1080p signal. Right now I'm hooked up Component at 1080i, when I switch to 1080p the screen goes black, then kicks back to 1080i. Am I missing something here?

I don't think that means your tv can display 1080p though. Also, you might need to update your 360 through LIVE if you haven't already.

I updated the Xbox, and my TV is capable of 1080p. If I need to go through VGA, I'm screwed cause I have 2 HDMI inputs and no VGA

You "CAN NOT" get a True 1080p signal though any cable that is available for the 360 as of right now.

Don't waste your time trying and don't believe anyone that tells you that you can get 1080p because they don't understand the complex relm of High Definition.

Bullshit.

The 360 can output 1080p via Component and VGA. However, not all 1080p TVs can accept 1080p via VGA or Component....usually only HDMI.

I know Sony, Samsung, and Westinghouse 1080p HDTVs can. However current Mitsubishi models cannot accept 1080p via Component or VGA.

So, use Component and set it to 1080i. It looks the same anyways!

I believe you are one of the people who don't understand the "complex relm of High Definition," because you are completely wrong.

Actually all 360 games are 720p except for a few which are less than 720p. None are 1080i...if they could do 1080i they'ld just do 1080p.
