ipod video
Does anyone know how to get DVD movies onto your ipod video?

First you need to rip the movie onto your computer's harddrive. This can be done with a program called handbrake. -google it
the mac version can encode it straight to ipod video format, although i'm not sure about the windows version.
If it doesn't, you will need to convert it into i think mpeg4 (alot of formats dont play), and so as not to waste room on your ipod, 320x240 resolution (they rip in 640x480 i think). Again, I know a mac encoder as that is what i'm typing on, so try and google mp4 encoder.
Oh and then once it is in that format, right click and go to open with --> iTunes, then drag it to your ipod when its plugged in, or sync it, whichever method you use (just like adding music)

Here's what I use:
DVD Shrink - google it
THEN...
Videora iPod Converter - google it
Easiest combo I've found...it just takes all night for one movie...literally.
