I might hit up that pioneer elite because I might have the extra cash. I guess you're right 1080p is no big. It still has 1080i which is just as good correct?

it's a little less good, 1080i is interlaced instead of proggressive

can someone tell me the best 26" lcd hdtv that i can get. so far i'm leaning towards the samsung but i'd appreciate some recemendations

If you want the best, go for a Sony BRAVIA S2010. How far back do you sit?

The 26" Samsung is a decent alternative. Look for the 26" Sony KDL-26S2000

so the 26 inch Sony KDL-26S2000 is the best tv that i an find in australia for playing xbox 360 and watching dvds on it.
