I just stumbled upon this:
Rocketfish - Universal Wireless Rear Speaker Kit - RF-WHTIB
If you were to get that and still wanted to keep it under $400, pair it with the Onkyo HT-S3100 and you'ld have a much better setup than the Panasonic or Samsung.
Of course, if you go component and spend more...it's always better. Don't skimp on audio...imo it's more important than your HDTV.

Hey,
I'm looking into upgrading my current tv for a new one and would like it to be anywhere from 32-42 inches. I liked the Vizio Plasma, but there seemed to be mix reviews on it. I also am thinking about shelling out the extra $$ for the Panasonic 42". Last I found a Sony Bravia KDL-32L4000 for $640 and was wondering if you knew anything about them?
Thanks
Tom

It is definitely worth shelling out the extra bit to get the 42" Panasonic. It wouldn't be much more than the 42" Vizio and you're getting a higher quality HDTV.
If you want a 32" HDTV, I highly recommend the 32" Vizio plasma that Walmart carries. Its picture is truly superb for $500.
How far back do you sit? You should base your HDTV size off of your seating distance first and then your budget. There's a chart on the first page of this thread.

I sit about 4 feet away when I'm gaming and then 6 or 7 when I'm just watching TV.

Why do you have to move? Do you like sitting 4' or 7' away more? That changes everything...4' is way too close for 42"

Hey
The difference is it's in my bedroom and I sit on the end of my bed if I'm gaming and when I'm watching tv I'm at the head. I went to bestbuy today to looked and pretty much decided I need a 32".

At 4' away, 32" is what you want. Get the Vizio, it's great and cheap.

I'm pretty much decided on the Vizio, but have any idea of a good surround sound system for under $250? I liked the one onkoyo in the first page.
