not surround sound being...stereo?
The Insignia Bookshelves are real cheap and have had some good things said about them, although I don't know if the ones people have been talking about are the $30 or $80 ones. That leaves only about $70 to 20 for the amp though, this is the cheapest I can find on amazon.
$100 is very low and won't get you much. You's probably be looking at a shelf system like this, which may perfectly suit your needs. What's your application?

Sorry but $100 won't buy you good speakers if you ask me, but then again good is pure opinion, so go and listen to something and see if you like it.
Oh and Shike, on the previous page I have a post for you.

hey death, I've started saving up for this HDTV lately:
http://www.learningcenter.sony.us/assets/hpd/hdtv/choose-bravia.php?%26LCID=LCTR_Showcase:HDTV:Choose:Lifes tyle:btnBravia
I'm not really sure its that one but there are only 3 types of Bravias and it wasn't the S or the XBR series so its got to be that one. I s there any possibility that theres a different series here in Namibia?
anyhow, even if its not that one, are they good, SONY BRAVIA hdtv's always looked really classy and quality-built to me. I won't really watch tele on them, mainly for XBOX 360 and my future PS3.

Or you can get a Samsung 50" DLP 720p HDTV for $50 more from Amazon like I did.

Nope, only problem is that bulb life is short than most LCDs and Plasmas, but you can get a bigger size for a cheaper price. Like I could have afforded the 61" but I wanted to get the PS3 too, and I wouldn't have been able to afford that.
