Problem is there aren't enough reviews to outweigh the bad ones...like the number one rated TV being a Toshiba...it only has 2 reviews. It's good...but not better than a Panny or Pioneer

i agree. tv speakers are horrible anyway. and so is cable card. i also hate when reviewers base a rating on the overall look of the tv, swivel stand etc. its a tv it should just be rated on its image quality alone.

Can you REALLY tell a difference between 720 and 1080i?
I'm seriously considering buying this - http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...ing=&offset=10
37" for £400. 5* ratings out of the 118 it has. 720 only.. does it matter?

On paper 720p is actually superior to 1080i, although I can't tell the difference on my TV.
Although I wouldn't recommend going for a no name brand.

That's true, if it's got all good reviews then it can't be too bad.
*Deathwishmoment*
Don't forget to calibrate it with a copy of DVE or AVIA.

Haha. DVE calibration. It'll calibrate all the TV's settings; sharpness, colors, contrast etc. so that what you see is what film studios and game developers intended you to see.
