Sadly I don't, the best you could do is find a shop that sells both amps and E60s and try to audition them.

It depends on the type. JBLs is really inefficient but if they get enough power sound great. From what I looked up in your sig it seems like you're running satellites. You probably have a receiver that sufficiently drives them. The reason I needed an amp is the woofer and midrange get power hungry really fast.

Well, yes and no. Wiki's down right now (but here's the google cache). Their home products are re-branded as Panasonic in the US (with few exceptions) although are still considered prominent under their own name in Japan. I'm sure you could find the same/similar amp if you look around through thrift shops or ebay. It even had the manual, remote, antenna, everything but cabinet extenders. Opened up the manual, saw the continuous output and packed it up.

Not off the top of my head, you would be best off using JBLs pro audio store locater.

Yes but at this level isn't $100 considered the basic price point? Are their ones that truly outperform it drastically at this level?

yeah that's what I always figured. The KEF eggs don't exactly have large drivers and they're decently efficient. However there are those that believe separates always sound better than a receiver

Cool, I had no idea Technics made amps for Panny.

I wouldn't say outperform...rather there are options that are good but just sound different. Like Infinity Primus or even the Insignia bookshelves

I understand what you mean by preferring a different sound, but then the Polks should also deserve a fair mention to see which sound he/she prefers (doesn't even remember who this part of the discussion got started with )

They're surprisingly good. If you do a little research on the avsforum you'll find many good posts about them

it looks like my reciever purchase is looking up. I may be able to get this one instead. I have speakers wires that were designed to be used with spring clamp terminals. Would these terminals still work? The ohm rating is compatible with my speakers.

The Yamaha receiver looks good. If you don't have already have 14 gauge speaker wire, get some...it's like $10 for 50' at monoprice.com. Also, pickup some Banana plugs...makes hooking up speakers a lot more convenient. The ones I linked say solder type but you don't need to solder them.

Thanks man. The speakers I'm going to be using have speaker cable attached already. They came with a shelf system. I dont think i can take apart the mdf and re-attach the wires without damaging something.
Ps. I found the next model up again for under $350 shipped

The Samsung is superior...I personally would take a Sony or Sharp AQUOS over it

Have you looked at Onkyo receivers as well? You should be able to hook up any speaker wire to the back of a good receiver
