I'm thinking about getting a 32 but no higher, what I really want to know is what specs I should be looking for that will give me the best picture quality. Thanks

You pay for quality. $600 for a budget 32", $1000-1600 for a higher end 32". It's like saying a Honda Accord is a rip off when you can buy that Taurus for a whole lot less

Yeah...I'm not sure what's up with Sharp's latest lines having banding issues. Seems like everyone is dropping quality for price...

Vizio makes a great LCD for the money...

Toshiba makes excellent HDTVs. The only HDTVs I can think of having issues with jaggies off the top of my head are some older Samsung LN-R series LCDs(atleast I believe it was the LN-R series...). There's a reason they had to come out with a game mode...

Is 1080p as high resolution as it will get? I know it is now but, will it get better in the future?

You guys are so dumb it amazes me.

When I go to a public bathroom I always have a feeling those sensors in the stall (which make the toilet flush automatically) are actually cameras watching my penis.

I think game mode increases the contrast a bit and brings the brightness down a few clicks. That is what I've seen on the very few tvs I've seen with game mode.

Just copied this off a description of a Samsung lcd.
Game Mode
Samsung LCD TVs offer unparalleled picture quality that can be optimized for gaming at the touch of a button. It allows for H-sharpness and a faster response time in the games. In addition, its powerful surround sound effects produce a magical environment of wonder that is filled with excitement and joy.

1080p is rarely needed as it is. Will we see an even higher resolution come about? Probably...will it be needed? Probably not.
People usually get too small of a TV to benefit from 1080p given their viewing distance...so a higher res seems like a waste

H-sharpness? What exactly is that? Sounds like marketing to me. And most decent LCDs have fast enough response times to begin with...
Surround sound effects? I'm sorry, but no matter how hard you try you're not gonna get surround sound from 2 speakers...
