The current line of Pioneer plasmas have the best picture on the market imo. The deepest blacks and richest colors you're gonna find. Quite outstanding performance...but they are a bit pricier for a plasma. At the same time they're about the price of an LCD which won't touch a Pioneer's picture.
I've gamed for hours on a Pioneer plasma...not even a little hint of burn in. It's not an issue.

Yeah it'll work...but it's really an LCD Monitor more than an LCD TV. Notice its resolution is not a standard HD resolution...it's a standard computer resolution(1680x1050).
What's your budget?

Hey. Friend of mine is looking to buy a new HD TV, either 26" or 32". Currently he seems to be set upon this:
LG 32LC56 - LCD Television - Digital Direct
Just figured I'd check in here, make sure there's nothing wrong with it. His budget is limited to £400. I suggested the 26" Sharp Aquos that I have, but think he wanted something a bit bigger, while no more expensive. Any other suggestions?

A Pioneer plasma will give you the best picture quality. For $2500 you're looking at a 42". I have one...and it's simply fucking awesome for gaming. Cars never looked so good in Forza 2 and killing locusts in GoW was never as fulfilling.
If you want bigger...go with either a projector a DLP rear projection HDTV

LG is decent, but Sharp is better. A 32" Sharp is 430 and a LG is 400. Sharp imo is worth a little more for a better picture
